Mango lassi feels like summer in Delhi in a glass. It brings back hot afternoons, the smell of ripe mangoes in the kitchen, and the simple comfort of being handed something cold and sweet the moment you walk in. For me, it’s also a reminder of how care and hospitality are shown in Indian homes. You don’t always say much, you offer food or a drink, and that becomes the message: you’re welcome, you’re safe, you’re loved. Even now, one sip can take me right back home.
